@Elvia When you talk , you divulge bits and pieces of yourself which may or may not lead to awe and appreciation from the person who is listening to you. That may lead to vanity. But appreciation is not permanent. It is worldly and so very temporary. So, experience makes some people to be introvert to avoid deceit and heartbreak.

Yeah Anorak, sometimes in this competitive world you can't afford to be an introvert. Has anyone heard of an introvert leader?
